每逢國慶日，各國都要舉行不同形式的慶�；顒�，以加強本國人民的'愛國意識，增強國家的凝聚力。各國之間也都要相互表示祝賀。逢五逢十的國慶日，有的還要擴大慶祝規(guī)模。為慶祝國慶日，各國政府通常要舉行一次國慶招待會，由國家元首、政府首腦或外交部長出面主持，邀請駐在當?shù)氐母鲊�使�?jié)和其他重要外賓參加。但也有的國家不舉行招待會，如美國、英國均不舉行招待會。
