make up的用法：

　　（1）編、編造。其賓語通常為故事、詩歌、借口一類的名詞。

　　The teacher asked the students to make up a poem about Christmas.

　　（2）彌補(bǔ)、把…補(bǔ)上。彌補(bǔ)的內(nèi)容為某人之前失去的東西或沒有按時(shí)完成的事情。

　　John must make up the work he missed.
